Will I always see Dr. Kwon?+
Yes. K-Doc is currently a single-practitioner service, so every consultation is with Dr. Jade Kwon. You get continuity of care from a doctor who knows your history.
Is Dr. Kwon a fully registered Australian doctor?+
Yes. Dr. Kwon is fully registered with AHPRA and licensed to practise medicine in Australia. She also holds full medical registration in Korea — a rare dual credential. Registration numbers are at the bottom of every page.
How far in advance do I need to book?+
Appointments are typically available within a few days. You'll see the next available slots on the booking page. As K-Doc is a single-practitioner service, appointments do book out — we recommend booking ahead when you can.
Can I cancel or reschedule?+
Yes. You can cancel or reschedule free up to 4 hours before your appointment. Within 4 hours or no-shows are charged the full consult fee.
What if my issue isn't suitable for telehealth?+
If Dr. Kwon thinks you need in-person care, she'll let you know during the consult and help you find the right next step. If your concern turns out to be entirely outside scope and we can't help, we'll refund the consult fee.
Can the consult be in Korean?+
Yes. Dr. Kwon is fluent in Korean (native speaker) and you can request your consult in 한국어 when you book. All documents and follow-up can also be discussed in Korean.
Can I get a Medicare rebate if I just arrived from Korea?+
You need to be enrolled in Medicare to receive a rebate. If you've recently arrived in Australia, you can still book a consult and pay the full fee — Medicare eligibility can be sorted separately. We can also discuss your status during the consult.
When will I receive my scripts and certificates?+
Documents are typically emailed to you shortly after your consult ends — often before you've closed the video call. e-Scripts arrive as an SMS or email token you can show at any Australian pharmacy.
Are e-Scripts accepted everywhere?+
Yes. e-Scripts are accepted at all Australian pharmacies. Show the QR code (or forward the SMS) at the counter.
Can Dr. Kwon prescribe controlled medications?+
Some drugs of dependence require in-person assessment under Australian regulations and aren't suitable for telehealth prescribing. Dr. Kwon will advise during your consult if you need to be seen in person.
Is my information private?+
Yes. All consults and records are protected under the Australian Privacy Principles and the Privacy Act 1988. Video consults are encrypted end-to-end. Your information is never shared without your explicit consent.
Can I access my own health records?+
Yes. You can request a copy of your health records at any time by emailing the practice. Under Australian privacy law, we'll provide them within 30 days.
